This paper aims to explore the ways in which media perpetuates and challenges this stereotype.
An analysis of media representations reveals that sleazy mature women are often depicted in stereotypical and reductive ways. For example, in film and television, mature women are often portrayed as seductive and manipulative, reinforcing negative stereotypes about women's agency and power (Mulvey, 1975).
