Avatar: The Legend Of Korra Book 3: Change -
"The world is changing," Korra whispered to the wind. "I guess I better keep up."
The battle was a whirlwind. Asami used her electrified glove to disable the hunters' transport, while Mako’s precision lightning kept the metalbenders at bay. But it was Korra who ended it. She didn't use brute force; instead, she used a technique Tenzin had been drilling into her: be like the leaf. She moved with the hunters' momentum, redirecting their metal cables and earthen projectiles back at them until they were pinned against the temple walls.
The wind whistling through the columns of the Northern Air Temple was no longer lonely. For Tenzin, the sound of dozens of clumsy, new Airbeaders practicing their breathwork was a melody he had waited a lifetime to hear. But for Korra, the air felt heavy. Avatar: The Legend of Korra Book 3: Change
"I'm tired of people treating human beings like property," Korra growled, shifting into a firebending stance.
"You aren't just a weapon," Asami reminded her softly. "Change isn't just about what happens to the world. It’s about how you adapt to it." "The world is changing," Korra whispered to the wind
As the hunters retreated, the air nomads cheered. But Korra remained still, looking toward the horizon where the Red Lotus still lurked. She realized that being the Avatar in this new age wasn't about maintaining the old world's walls—it was about protecting the people while those walls crumbled.
She didn't wait for them to land. Korra leapt from the balcony, a spiral of air cushioning her fall, while Mako and Bolin flanked her from the training courts. But it was Korra who ended it
"Zaheer isn't just another warlord, Asami," Korra replied, taking a mug. She looked down at her hands. After the Harmonic Convergence, the world had physically changed—vines choked Republic City and random citizens were suddenly bending air—but the shift in the atmosphere felt more ominous. "He believes chaos is the natural order. And for the first time, I don’t know if punching my way out of this is the answer."
