Firehouse 51 is spread thin as they respond to a chain of gas explosions. The situation becomes personal for Joe Cruz , who takes a young boy named Timmy under his wing after the boy's home is destroyed. Cruz's dedication to finding the source of the leaks leads him to realize that a faulty regulator is to blame, eventually forcing a city-wide "shut down" of the gas lines to prevent further tragedy.
