Introduction to numerical and algebraic expressions, and the basics of mathematical modeling.

A calendar-thematic plan (KTP) for 5th-grade mathematics based on the curriculum by typically follows the updated Federal State Educational Standards ( FGOS ) and the Unified Federal Educational Program ( FOP ). Under these standards, the course is generally designed for 170 total hours (5 hours per week).

The concept of a fraction; comparing fractions; addition and subtraction of fractions with like denominators; and introduction to decimal notation.
