Indian devotional songs in western music notation

What Bhajans can you find here
This website is dedicated to Bhajans sung in the presence of Sathya Sai Baba in His ashrams in South India and in Sai centres around the world.

What's unique about this website
On this website you can learn the Bhajans by the means of audio & music notation & translation on one page per Bhajan.

How do Indian Bhajans come to Switzerland
Some Swiss Sai devotees and musicians dedicate themselves to singing, playing and teaching these Bhajans. For this purpose they have edited books with the transcription from original Indian audio sources of 3 x 108 Bhajans (324 Bhajans) in western music notation.

Why do we sing Bhajans
In 1968 Sathya Sai Baba said: "Sing aloud the glory of God and charge the atmosphere with divine adoration; the clouds will pour the sanctity through rain on the fields; the crops will feed on it and purify and fortify the food; the food will induce divine urges in man. This is the chain of progress. This is the reason why I insist on group singing of the names of the Lord."

This specific alignment suggests a "top-down" hierarchy. In a digital landscape, what stays at the "top" is what is prioritized. By forcing an element to the top, the developer is making a value judgment on behalf of the user, deciding what should be seen first and what should be relegated to the periphery. Conclusion: The Invisible Script

This essay into a single line of CSS reminds us that our digital lives are governed by invisible scripts. Every time we click a link or scroll a page, we are participating in a highly choreographed dance written by developers and executed by browsers. .jNvHzLep { vertical-align:top; cursor: pointe...

The command vertical-align: top speaks to our inherent human desire for alignment and structure within chaos. In the vast, entropic soup of data that makes up the internet, CSS is the force of gravity. It imposes a grid on the void. This specific alignment suggests a "top-down" hierarchy

At its surface, this snippet is a functional command. The property vertical-align: top ensures that an element sits at the ceiling of its container, while cursor: pointer transforms the user's mouse into a hand, signaling that an object is "clickable." However, the class name itself— .jNvHzLep —reveals the underlying philosophy of the contemporary web: Conclusion: The Invisible Script This essay into a

The instruction cursor: pointer is perhaps the most philosophically significant part of the code. It is a psychological bridge. By changing the cursor, the code "invites" the human into the machine's logic. It creates an affordance—a visual promise that "if you act here, something will happen."

In a "deep" sense, this represents the Every pointer on a screen is a digital lure, designed to guide human will toward a specific outcome—be it a purchase, a "like," or a data point. The pointer is the physical manifestation of the interface's power over the user; we are told where we can interact and where we are merely observers. Vertical Alignment: The Quest for Order
