Hozier - Nobody (audio) -

Emily shrugged, feeling a familiar sense of frustration. "I don't know, Doris. I just feel stuck, I guess."

As she drove into the darkness, the music washing over her like a balm, Emily realized that she didn't have to be nobody. She could be somebody, somewhere else. The thought sent a shiver down her spine, and for the first time in years, she felt a spark of hope.

She pushed open the creaky door of the local diner, a place that had been a staple of the community for decades. The interior was just as she remembered it - a Formica counter, vinyl booths, and a faded jukebox playing old records. The waitress, a gruff but kind woman named Doris, looked up from her phone and raised an eyebrow. Hozier - Nobody (Audio)

"Emily, sweetheart, what brings you here today?" Doris asked, though it was clear she already knew the answer. Emily was always here, sitting alone at the counter, nursing a cup of coffee.

"Just grabbing a coffee, Doris," Emily replied, trying to sound casual. But Doris saw right through her. Emily shrugged, feeling a familiar sense of frustration

As Emily sipped her coffee, she couldn't shake the feeling that she was indeed nobody in this town. But Doris's words stuck with her, echoing in her mind like the haunting melody of a song.

"You know, Emily, you're starting to scare me," Doris said, concern etched on her face. "You're so young, so talented. Why are you wasting your life in a place like this?" She could be somebody, somewhere else

Emily had grown up in this town, watching as families left one by one, seeking better opportunities elsewhere. She had stayed behind, rooted to the spot by a sense of loyalty and familiarity. But now, at 25, she felt like a ghost haunting the streets of her childhood. Nobody seemed to notice her, or care about her presence.
