








In the first episode of Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun), titled high schooler Chiyo Sakura finally gathers the courage to confess her feelings to her crush, the tall and stoic Umetarou Nozaki. The Misunderstood Confession
By the end of the episode, Chiyo realizes that while Nozaki is incredibly dense regarding her actual feelings, he is a dedicated artist. She decides to continue working as his assistant to stay close to him. The episode concludes with a post-credit scene introducing , Nozaki’s primary assistant for drawing backgrounds and flowers, who serves as the real-life inspiration for Nozaki's shoujo heroines.
Instead of a romantic date, Chiyo spends the afternoon as an inker for his manga, Let's Fall in Love .
Chiyo learns that Nozaki is obsessed with researching romantic scenarios for his work, often acting out tropes in absurd ways to see if they "work" in real life.
