Deep Rock Galactic casts you as a space-faring dwarf working for a greedy mining corporation. Your job is simple: drop into the procedurally generated caves of Hoxxes IV, mine precious minerals, and survive the swarms of insectoid "Glyphids" trying to eat you.
Unlike many modern shooters, the community is famously "wholesome." The "Rock and Stone" salute is a universal language for teamwork. Every mission feels like a mini-adventure, ranging from standard mining to escorting giant drill-dozers or hunting massive Dreadnoughts.
You cannot save your data to the cloud or participate in "Deep Dives" (end-game content).
You lose the core 4-player co-op experience.
Lights up caves and reaches high-up minerals with a grappling hook.
