Clash Of The Titans(1981) Apr 2026

🗡️ The mortal hero who relies on wit and divine tools to save his love.

Time runs out. Andromeda is chained to the cliffs of Joppa as the Kraken rises from the sea. Just as the monster prepares to strike, Perseus arrives on Pegasus, who was rescued by the clockwork owl Bubo. Perseus pulls the head of Medusa from the bag. The Kraken looks into the Gorgon’s eyes and instantly turns to solid stone, crumbling into the ocean.

In Joppa, Perseus learns of a curse: no man may marry the beautiful Princess Andromeda unless they solve a riddle posed by Calibos. Those who fail are executed. With the help of the scholar Burgess and several divine gifts from Zeus—a sword that can cut through marble, a shield that reflects like a mirror, and a helmet of invisibility—Perseus begins his quest. Clash of the Titans(1981)

The victory is short-lived. During the wedding ceremony, Andromeda’s mother, Queen Cassiopeia, foolishly boasts that her daughter is more beautiful than Thetis herself. The goddess, insulted, demands that Andromeda be sacrificed to the Kraken in thirty days, or Joppa will be destroyed.

Perseus captures and tames the last of the winged horses, Pegasus, and uses the helmet of invisibility to spy on Andromeda. He follows her soul as it is carried by a giant vulture to Calibos’s swamp. There, he learns the answer to the next riddle. After a brief struggle with Calibos, Perseus returns to Joppa, answers the riddle correctly, and wins Andromeda’s hand. 🗡️ The mortal hero who relies on wit
