Determining the "best" Mazda MX-5 model depends on whether you value classic nostalgia, budget-friendliness, or modern performance. Reviewers generally agree there is no truly bad Miata, but each generation (NA, NB, NC, ND) serves a distinct purpose.
2006–2015 NC . Often called the "boat" due to its larger size, it is actually the roomiest and most comfortable for taller drivers and offers a Power Retractable Hardtop (PRHT) for year-round usability.
1999–2005 NB . It captures the mechanical soul of the original but with a stiffer chassis, more power (up to 142 hp), and lower entry costs than either the "classic" NA or the newer ND.
